Jeff's Out Of Surgery
The surgeon spoke with us regarding Jeff's surgery. The surgery was more involved than anticipated. He did have papillary cancer in his thyroid and it was aggressive. The left vocal chord nerve was inside the cancer and no longer viable so they removed it. The cancer had attached to his trachea and did involve his lymph nodes but Dr. Hoffman feels like he got everything and the prognosis is good. Jeff will have to have radiated iodine therapy and we will know more about that as he recovers. Thanks for everyone's prayers. We have great family and friends. Thanks for providing shuttle service to my mom, Mike!

Ms. Dana,
So glad to here about Jeff. I am glad the prognosis looks good. I couldn't wait to get home and check the blog for up to date info
If you need anything, let me know
P.S. Looking' forward to "dessert night"!
Hello Big Brother... Everything is going to be okay! I know you told me that you would call me on Saturday to wish me a Happy Birthday... knowing you, this will happen! However, knowing that your prognosis looks good is the only present I need. I already have some Braves tickets ready for you when you get back on your feet.
P.S. I will keep the phone by my side just in case.
Fara and Parker send their love...
Love ya, David
