Just Got Released!

Jeff here . Nothing like a good old HMO to get you in and out of the hospital quick. Dr Hoffman just dropped by and took my drains out. The calcium that we are monitoring so closely is right on the edge of being where it needs to be. So our deal today is - he'll let me go home if I take a lot of tums and drink milkshakes until tomorrow and get another blood test on Sunday. He didn't have to ask me twice.

Sorry that I have not posted more. I have been quite the zombie. In fact, in typing this now I am hitting the backspace button more than the letters. So forgive any horrible misspelling's. I had a bit of "cabin fever" last night where I got a little hot, the bandages were binding and I had been couped-up in the room too long. Dana really helped me out as we grabbed the IV unit on wheels and went walking. So not only did I have the gown gap going, but Dana was fanning the whole thing trying to get me cooled down. They gave me something to help me sleep last night that worked great - but it's carried over until this afternoon.

Well, Dana is frantically packing in the background, so I probably should go help her. She wants to get out of here as much as I do!

One last comment about our HMO Kaiser. They have been great and we have been very happy with the care that we received. And Northside Hospital was as good as everyone said too. I just hope I never have to see these guys again!

Thanks everyone - Jeff

Jeff, Glad to hear you are getting out. I hope this email catches you in time. If you don't mind, could you stop by the hospital gift shop and get me one of those jugs you mix up and drink to clean you out for surgery. Better yet, if they still sell the 3 jug party pack, pick me up one of those!

Seriously, glad you're going home and I hope to see you on the field Monday night.

Jeff all the kids on the team said to tell you hey and hope you feel better. They also hope you can be at the game Monday. If you were able to get that mix for Mike maybe we can get his team to drink some before the game. Just a thought.

Hope your day is good.
