Dr Hoffman called the house (even though he is not on call today) to let me know that the calcium level in my blood has risen and should be ok from now on. Karen and Jerome Sikes brought dinner by this evening and it was GOOD! I didn't have much of a voice for them tonight, but is sure was good to see them.
I am planning on attending our championship baseball game tomorrow. I understand that Coach Mike Martin's incredible Twins team survived the bracket (as we all thought they would) . Nice work guys! Mike is a good coach and he has a great team. It definitely could go either way tomorrow and I am sure it's going to be a great game (note I said just one game!)
The blog turned out to be a great idea. I read some great posts by a lot of great friends and family - some that I had not heard from in quite a long time. But I really created the blog to help Dana and my good friend and co-worker Bob Petty. Dana and Bob are my handlers (some might say my puppeteers) in everyday life. I knew it would be a chore for them last week to keep everyone up to date. Thanks for all the posts. You guys made me laugh and cry (both when I didn't want to, but needed to).
Enough mushy stuff - Go Cardinals!

Great news about the lab results. The boys will be so glad to see you and it will be nice to have my right hand man near by.
Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad to hear you were released. Sorry, but I was a bit confused. I thought your problem with talking had resulted in you being taken in for perjury. What a relief to find out you were in the hospital and not jail. (That gown thing really had me worried until then.)
Jeff,
Very happy to hear everything is going well. Have been thinking of you and your family over the past few days hoping (aka praying) for the best and it sounds like you're kicking it's butt! Keep it up.
Got the news while I was up in Crosby. I had no idea what was going on so it was a big shock. I'm just really happy it's gone as well as it has. You are a really good person Jeff and I enjoy being around you. This world could use more like you!
So, get better quick and hope to see you soon.
Mitch
Does this mean you can let up on the tums?!!
The blog was a very good idea. It has let all of us know what was going on without Dana having to spend all her time calling and reporting. I always knew I had a smart nephew tho!!
I'm still getting emails from the prayer warriors here checking on you, and all letting me know they aren't letting up just because you are home. I don't know what we would do without all those that love us.
Enjoy the game!! Is someone bringing the requested signs or are you going to be doing all hand motions?? Love AB
