Testing 1-2-3! Voice Seems Better Today!

That's literally what I have been doing today. Saying the phrase, "testing 1-2-3" about every 15-20 minutes. It doesn't sound too bad today, and that's about all I am going to say at one time. I think I overdid it a bit yesterday with the voice after making the trip to the doctor.

Thanks Rhonda and Aunt Beverly for the comments about my writing. You know, that's what I do everyday - except my goal at the end of the day is to get a can of soda or a bottle of beer into a paperboard carton. I did think about my career choice last week after I watched some pretty amazing people (skillful doctors, compassionate health care workers, hospital volunteers) make a pretty big impact in my life and many others. It was humbling to watch these incredible people do what they do everyday. But, then again, maybe it is all part of the great Circle of Life. These folks might need a can of soda or bottle of beer at the end of the day. That's where I come in!

It is hard to believe that I was laid open on the operating table for seven hours just a week ago. Oh, by the way, Kaiser called Dana yesterday to change our appointment with the Endocrinologist to June 19, the convenient day that my thyroid prescription ends. Funny thing about perception, we would have thought that June 19 was a ridiculous date yesterday - if we had not heard July 30 first. Maybe those HMO guys are more clever than we give them credit for.
