Shot Heard Around the World

Got my first shot today. The nurse tricked me. She had me take a deep breath - and just as I was inhaling, she stuck me good. Have to admit she caught me off-guard and it probably didn't hurt as much as it could have. BUT tomorrow is another day! I have the same shot and same nurse tomorrow morning. I hope she has another trick up her sleeve.

I had to go back and sit in the lobby for 30-minutes this morning after getting the Thyrogen shot - just to make sure I didn't convulse and foam at the mouth. I didn't, but I did feel a little lightheaded for the rest of the day. But I have to watch it. As I read off those side effects from the literature, I half-way start feeling some of the symptoms.

I am going to move the TV and DirectTv receiver down to the basement tomorrow evening. We'll also start laying down plastic over the mattress, couch and floor. I have a stack of books that I have been meaning to read and some DVDs that I would like to watch. Part of me is looking forward to taking it easy for three days - and there is a part of me that's worried about going stir crazy. I am sure by the end of my sentence, I will have seen all seasons of 24, The Sopranos, Deadwood, Seinfield and Rocky I-XII.
