Having a Good Day Today

I slept really good last night and feel pretty good today. Good thing I woke up early. Starting at 8:01am the phone started ringing. First it was Metlife needed a fax number for the doctor. Next it was the ENT department at Kaiser checking on things. I think I got everyone what they need.

I also spoke to Bob Petty and Coach Darran this morning on the phone. I know I sounded horrible, but both said I sounded better than they expected. That's good to hear.

I am going to try to rest a bit before the ballgame tonight. Carson is to be there at 5pm - so I am going to try to go with him. There could be two games tonight - the dreaded double-header. If we win the first game, we are the champions. If we lose the first game, the championship is determined by the winner of the second game.

I will make an entry tonight on the outcome of the game. Win or lose, I am so proud of these young men and hope this is an experience that they will remember for a long time. The lessons they have learned this season regarding teamwork, sportsmanship, friendship and leadership should do nothing but help them be better young men and adults as they move foward in life.

Go Cardinals!
