My oldest son, Dillon, is 16-years-old and just completed the 11th grade. Dillon was really into guitar a year or so ago, but has slowed down a bit over the past year. Almost two years ago Dillon attended a kind of School of Rock; where he, another guitar player and a drummer got together to practice and play a mini-concert for their family and friends. None of the kids were singers, so their teacher was on vocals. He's a little rough, but he's having a lot of fun.
They named their one-gig band IRON BLIMP. Here are links to the three songs they played during the concert at The Warehouse in Kennesaw. Dillon is the guitar player on the left side of the stage in the black RAMONES T-Shirt.

Instead of these boys wasting the summer away in front of the computer and tv, maybe I can get Carson motivated to write some more and Dillon back playing the guitar. We'll see.
